FAMILY
ANA KRAS AND NATALIE WEINBERGER
Exhibition: “Family” at Picture Room, New York, 2018
The two first met years ago and through the shared aesthetic - somehow gentle geometry, minimalist shapes - they created this exhibition called “The Family”.
The exhibition is a compilation of simple pencil drawings and pottery. Ana drew first the sketches of vessels, which were then reconstructed on the potter’s wheel by Natalie. After that, one last review of the sketches was made. The exhibition “Family Portraits” is an intimate exploration of interplay between two different objects, moreover objects by two different artist. “We started calling each set a family,” Weinberger says, “because we’re working with separate figures that share an emotional attachment.”

This recipe uses the usual old trick for the leftover bread - egg wash and frying pan, which we used often on Sundays, when I was a kid. Fried to golden crispiness and filled with cheese is even better.
